Learning Dutch might not be the easiest thing in the world, it's also certainly not the toughest thing: grammar and spelling are - much more than English - tied to strict rules that usually can be explained in a few lines.

Still, it's good to have a good teacher and a good book (with tapes) to guide you. If you want to do it all by yourself, you might use this Free Online Dutch Course: it contains all the basic grammar, vocabulary and even pronunciation rules you need and even a lot of online exercises and tests.
